Are the products food and dishwasher safe?
Yes. All products are dishwasher and food safe.
Do all of the necklaces and tiles come with a ribbon?
Yes. All of the necklaces come with a sterling silver clasp and black rubber cord. All tiles come with a ribbon for easy hanging on walls or doorknobs.
Do you make your own tiles and ornaments?
Yes, I hand form all of my ornaments, tiles, crosses, jewelry from the ground up starting with low fire, earthenware clay. Each piece is individually rolled and cut from a slab of clay. Sometimes I carve designs or add textures, depending on what I'm designing. Each form dries for several days; then I sand the rough edges on each and every piece. Sometimes they don't make it through this sanding process as it is the most fragile stage! Into the kiln for the first firing they go........
After the first firing, I paint each creation with my own designs and color combinations, with non-toxic glazes, and re-fire. Each firing takes about 8-12 hours and about that same amount of time to cool down before I can open the kiln and unload! I love unloading to see how everything turns out!
Once unloaded, each piece is inspected to make sure it meets my standards, signed, ribbon is added, etc. No piece is ever exactly alike. That is the beauty of having something hand-made.
If I'm local/in the Williamsburg area, will i still be charged for shipping?
No, You will be contacted to verify that you do not want it shipped locally and then you will not be charged the shipping fees. You may pick up your order from the studio instead.
